Asma Ishaq

Asma Ishaq is an enduring defender of the values of the nutritional supplements industry. In addition to her success leading Modere, she founded her own company in 2009. Asma has served on several industry committees and boards, including the Council of Responsible Nutrition, Fragrance Creators Association, Women Business Collaborative, Direct Selling Association, and the World Federation Direct Selling Association.

Most recently, Asma was named Chairperson of the new Collagen Stewardship Alliance.

In the nomination, Asma’s colleague described her as a winner because she lifts all boats. The nomination added: “She is an enduring defender of the values of the nutritional supplements industry who has and will continuously advocate for the highest good of the industry in regards to everything from ingredient sourcing, transparency, supply chain, product formulation, regulation, labeling, and innovation.”

Suzanne Shelton

Suzanne is a long-time industry champion who tirelessly seeks to improve its reputation and fortunes by consistently advocating for practices in the best interests of the industry and its customers/ consumers.

Suzanne contributes to strengthening trade associations and has served on numerous committees for the Council of Responsible Nutrition, the Natural Products Foundation, and has been the AHPA Communications Committee Chair for more than 10 years. In 2017, she received the AHPA Hero Award.

2020 marks the 30th anniversary of Suzanne’s company – an impressive milestone that shows her dedication to this industry.

Suzanne is the first person to be nominated as NutraChampion by two separate people in the same year. One of the nominators said: “Whether it’s advocating for science-backed ingredients and fair practices or amplifying the important role that trade associations play in guiding best practices, the industry is stronger today because of Suzanne’s 30 years of dedicated hard work and fearless leadership in the name of publicizing and protecting an industry she believes in passionately.”
